Group Classes vs Personal Training: Which is Right for You?

This week on our radio call with WSOS, we dove into why we offer such a wide range of options for our members—and let me tell you, it's all about making fitness work for you! Whether you're the type who loves flying solo or someone who prefers a little guidance, we've got you covered.

For the Do-It-Yourselfers, we have our open gym. If you know what you want to do and love putting together your own workouts, you'll find everything you need here—from strength equipment to conditioning tools and mobility gear. It's your space to get creative, stay in control, and push yourself however you like.

But hey, sometimes you want to leave the planning to someone else and just focus on getting a great sweat in. That's where our Group Classes, Small Group Training, and One-on-One Personal Training come in.

Group Classes are all about the energy! Imagine 5 to 30 people, led by an instructor who will guide you through the workout, keeping you motivated and moving. When the music kicks in, grab a friend and dive into high-energy sessions that range from high-intensity to moderate workouts using bodyweight or light resistance. It's all about fun, camaraderie, and pushing yourself alongside others.

For those looking to lift heavier and get stronger, Small Group Training is perfect. Here, you'll work under the watchful eye of an expert Coach, focusing on heavier strength training. We follow the ThriveFit programming, developed by Mike Boyle at MBSC Thrive near Boston—and we are proud to be one of only 30 gyms worldwide offering this incredible program. It's all about great coaching, perfect form, and safety, with the goal of helping you get stronger and feel fantastic.

And if you're looking for something more personal, there's One-On-One Coaching. This is your ultimate introduction to the gym—learning how to move safely under resistance, understanding your mobility needs, and building confidence with different exercises and equipment. Whether you're brand new or just prefer personalized attention, our coaches are here to make sure you get the most out of every session.

No matter what you choose—classes, small group training, or one-on-one—all you have to do is show up. We'll handle the rest. Our instructors and coaches are here to guide you, motivate you, and help you get the results you're after. Let's get stronger together!
