Speed and Agility Summer Camp for Middle Schoolers

These camps are designed for the Middle School athlete. The program’s focus is to improve running and agility mechanics, as well as strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, and power. The program design is based upon the NSCA National Strength and Conditioning Association best practices for youth athletes. The sessions will be progressive in skill and build upon the foundation set in the beginning of the camp. The activities in the camp will benefit any child seeking athletic development. All skill levels are welcome. Any specific goals can be discussed with the instructor prior to each camp. Testing of the vertical jump and 20 yard shuttle are completed at the beginning and end of each camp.

Cost: $100/camp

Camp 1 June 15th - July 8th

Tues and Thursdays – 10:30AM or 1:30PM

This camp will focus on the foundation of proper rhythm in skips, marches, strides and hops. We will introduce the acceleration phase of sprinting. Plyometrics will also be introduced, aka jump and landing training.

Camp 2 July 13th - August 5th

Tues and Thursdays – 10:30AM or 1:30PM

This camp will focus on building upon acceleration mechanics. Utilizing sleds, medicine balls and bungee training to enhance power. Focus on proper stride and landing mechanics. Introduction to top end speed mechanics. body weight exercises for development of core.

Camps are paid in advance. No refunds or adjustments. Campers

are expected to commit to a day/time schedule, flexibility between

days/times can be arranged with the instructor. Athletes should

bring water, wear shoes appropriate for training on concrete

surface. All training will be done at Anastasia Fitness, 1045

Anastasia Blvd, St Augustine, FL 32080. Rain or shine. Five

athlete minimum commitment for the session. Maximum ten athletes per session.
