Every session addresses mobility, strength, foundational movements (squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull, carry) and more.

TRX: Work with Suspension and RIP trainers as well as other functional strength tools to improve overall core strength and stability.

AquaFIT: A non-traditional Aqua class that features dynamic movement. A different way to move for greater strength, mobility, endurance and speed.

StaBalanced: Focuses on movement and strength with an emphasis on correct functional form and balance.

StaCore: This format considers all foundational movements in an effort to strength core and torso stabilization.

StaDynamic: Build total body strength using innovative strength and sculpting movement with tools like Maces, Med Balls, TRX, Kettlebells, RIP Trainers, bodyweight and more.

StaStrong: Find your strength as you squat, hinge. lunge. push and pull.

Havoc: The ultimate outdoor workout. Timed intervals as you move through stations that feature sled push and pulls, ladder drills. tire flips, kettlebell swings, med ball slams and SO MUCH MORE!

Havoc Amphibous: First half follows Havoc land workout while second half takes you into the water for even more power, strength and endurance.

Kettlebell Training with Kevin

Robert Merrell found me from StrongFirst, my method for kettlebell training and certification.  He drove over from Gainesville to get a weekly dose of hard style kettlebell training, with his goal of passing the StrongFirst certification.

I enthusiastically recommend Kevin with reservation!  The 90mile trip to see him was well worth it given his expertise, passion and client-centered approach.  Kevin pays attention to athletic intention and history.  He asks astute questions--and responds thoughtfully to feedback--in order to optimize development/implementation of appropriate training protocals.  He is kind and driven coach, someone I'd recommend to my siblings, friends or parents.  He inspires beyond the gym with well-timed texts.  He truly cares.

The Perfect Lunch-time Workout

This week begins Kettlebell Lunch Blitz every Monday and Wednesday from 11:45am-12:30pm. $100/month or $15/session but FREE this week! If you've been struggling to fit a workout into your life then lunchtime is the perfect hour to break from the workday without having to wake up any earlier or steal time from your after-work life. We've got fully stocked locker-rooms so you can hit the shower and even a steam before heading back in as well. This kettlebell workout will meet all your strength and cardio training needs under the guidance of Kevin Vandyke, StrongFirst certified coach and trainer.

Confession from a recovering yogi

It's been over 20 years since I started regularly practicing yoga. My reason for fitness was always "so I can do what I want when I want." I achieved that through vinyasas, bikram, anusara, and Ashtanga yoga. Then I got greedy. I was never able to completely lose my baby belly or the layer of fat in my biceps/triceps and thighs.
Last October Kevin and I began training for StrongFirst kettlebell certification. Through gradual and confident practice, I moved from 10 kg, to 12 kg, to 16 kg to 20kg when swinging double bells. My waistline has shrunk, my shirt sleeves are looser. My weight has remained basically the same.  I love strength training mixed with my yoga practice.
I believe how you train physically parallels mental training.
Yoga= flexible body, flexible mind.
Kettlebell/Strength training = strong body, strong mind.
So what are you waiting for? Pick up a f,ing kettlebell and start swinging!

From a fit momma

A few months back I was training every day but was not seeing the results I wanted. I was frustrated, and Kevin VanDyke was there to help! I had played around with Kettlebells many times, but he introduced me to the technique that I was lacking. The time he took to train me was beyond valuable. I recommend learning the art of Russian Kettlebells, and Kevin's knowledge on the subject is truly inspi...ring. After a few months of practicing technique I find my body is more balanced, lean, and STRONG in areas I didn't even realize I had. I have also lost ten pounds!
I recommend Kevin, and all the trainers at Anastasia Fitness. They are all involved, passionate, and truly care. I also want to add that I have been going to this gym space for 15 years and the energy has never been better than now, and the innovative programs they offer are impossible to find elsewhere. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this fitness family!

 

Sport Kettlebell

KETTLEBELL SPORT IS THE ULTIMATE TRAINING TOOL FOR FAT LOSS, STRENGTH, STAMINA, BALANCE AND COORDINATION. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR PARTICIPANTS OF ALL LEVELS, REGARDLESS OF FITNESS OR EXPERIENCE. THIS TRAINING CONTAINS MOVEMENT SPECIFIC ROUTINES THAT SHAPE AND TONE MUSCLE AND INCREASE CARDIOVASCULAR FITNESS, ALL WHILE LEARNING HOW TO EXERCISE SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY.

Sessions occur every Friday at 8am
